Our Recent Trip to Visit Our Client: Doyle Shipping Group (DSG)

In August, FlexManager paid a visit to Doyle Shipping Group (DSG) at Dublin Port. It was a fantastic opportunity to get up close with the logistics and nuanced processes of an organisation that touches on all aspects of the supply chain, and to see how they use FlexManager to help them. During our visit, we spoke with Samantha Arcega, DSG Sustainability Team Lead. Samantha began by giving us an overview of who DSG are and what she does as part of her role:

“DSG is one of Ireland’s leading logistics and port service providers, operating across multiple ports in Ireland,” Samantha said. 

“We support a wide range of services through port operations, logistics, warehousing, shipping, and marine services. My role focuses on helping the business improve its sustainability performance, from carbon footprint calculation and ESG initiatives, to working with our operational teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvements,” she added.

Owing to DSG’s expansive operations, they require an extensive way to achieve compliance and keep track of all the reporting they do on a daily basis. Through FlexManager, Samantha explains, DSG are able to efficiently achieve this goal while continuing to keep their operations running as smoothly as possible across numerous sites and locations.

Ultimately, as Samantha explains, FlexManager gave DSG one solution for many locations:

“Given the nature of our operations, we have teams working across different locations throughout the country, terminals, and offices,“ Samantha continued.

“Managing documentation, training records, and compliance information across multiple sites can be very challenging. We were looking for a solution that would provide us with greater visibility, improve consistency, and make it easier for our teams to access information they need whenever they need it, and that’s where FlexManager comes into play.”

With FlexManager, DSG were able to streamline much of their compliance requirements. “Most importantly, it allows our teams to spend less time managing admin processes and more time focusing on keeping our people and operations safe and compliant,” Samantha said.
