The structure of Dubai’s much-awaited Museum of the Future building has been completed, according to Dubai Future Foundation (DFF). Set to open its doors in 2020, the museum “embodies one of the pillars of the vision of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai”, according to a top official at DFF.
Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and the Future, and vice chairman of the board of trustees and managing director of DFF, added: “The museum will provide visitors the opportunity to experience the future now. It will be the destination for scientists, experts, innovators, and creative minds, from all over the world, to design and shape the future.”
BAM International were primary contractors in the build and used the Flex Manager system to implement their Beyond Zero strategy to reduce and manage risk.

Flex Manager is one of the contributing factors in the continual improvement of the standards on our project sites and areas. The system facilitates a fully functioning, real-time HSS Management System incorporating training, inspections, control of documents, incidents etc.
About 300K observations have been logged on the system and it enables our teams to have a holistic overview of performance – at a project, area and Corporate level. It also facilitates open communication within the company with a user-friendly platform with a real ease of access. We have built a solid foundation of knowledge which enables us to manage HSS proactively.
The information I receive now enables me and my team to better monitor our sites on a global level and identify the key targets to ensure, that as a diverse team, we are all meeting the companies high safety standards. Flex Manager is now such an integral tool to us that we are using it as part of the tendering process / Business development as it reassures and gives our clients confidence that our approach to Health and Safety.
