FlexManager’s Conference Circuit: Where to Find Us This Autumn
Following a busy and successful spring conference season, the FlexManager team is gearing up for an equally exciting autumn schedule.

Emergencies rarely give you any warning. When they strike, the priority is clear – get everyone to safety. Whether it’s a fire, gas leak, or a natural event, an effective evacuation plan saves lives. Communication and Clarity are essential to ensure personnel are calm under pressure.
What goes into a good plan? Here are some simple considerations to facilitate personnel getting to safety in the event of an emergency:
Communicating these plans to all personnel will put you in the best position of being prepared should an emergency arise.
Evacuations are far from a formality, in the heat of the moment, confusion can set in as personnel make their way out of the site/building to safety. Setting drills in place properly can reveal gaps, test team readiness, and build muscle memory.
Keep team members on their toes by rotating scenarios, such as blocking an exit to see how people can adapt. The more realistic, the better. Once the drill is over, conduct a review and see what went well and whether everyone followed instructions.
At FlexManager, the emergency evacuation module allows central notifications to all registered users about an emergency event. This module has a real-time process where employees scan to show that they are present, identifying workers that are in danger on-site which rapidly feeds the information to the oversight dashboard. This allows remote parties to clearly see the progress of the evacuation until all staff and contractors are determined as safe.
