Canadian Company Under the Spotlight for Alleged Health & Safety Non-Compliance
Newfoundland and Labrador’s Occupational Health and Safety Division has brought charges against Cottle’s Island Lumber Company Limited. The charges pertain to a number of alleged violations under the province’s Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Typically in charge of carrying out audits and inspections to discern workplace compliance, the Occupational Health and Safety Division has said that the alleged non-compliance relates to health and safety orders from September and November, 2024.

The company is scheduled to appear before Provincial Court next month.
