Hong Kong’s 19th Fatal Construction Accident of 2026 Takes Place
In Hong Kong, the 19th construction accident leading to a death this year occurred on Friday, September 11th. The individual, an experienced contractor construction worker, fell while putting up scaffolding.
The accident took place in the morning, before a report was later made to police. Following the fatality, the Labour Department said that it is investigating the root cause of the incident.

Perhaps more importantly, it has prompted questions around safety for construction workers in Hong Kong.
