Does scoring a risk on the matrix mean it's under control?
No. The colour-coded matrix scores a risk consistently so the highest risks stand out at a glance, but managing that risk down still depends on the controls your organisation actually puts in place and follows through on, not on the score itself.
Can risks be compared across different projects?
Yes. Projects can be ranked on a risk league table, so you can see which projects are carrying the most risk exposure across your whole portfolio, rather than reviewing each project’s register on its own.
What happens if a risk changes after it's been assessed?
A snapshot of a risk is kept before it’s updated, and a full audit trail records every change, so you can always see what a risk looked like at a given point in time, not just its current state.
